What is the best exercise to burn fat? Is it one or are there many? This guide will show you which are the best and which are not as good for weight loss. To start, let me just preface by saying that any time of exercise is better than no exercise. What type of exercise you pick is not as important as the fact that you are exercising.
I often tell others that it is better to pick an easier exercise that you enjoy than one that you hate. The reasoning is that you are more likely to do the fun exercise on a daily basis than the one you hate. Consistency is key when it comes to anything that has to do with how to lose weight fast.
With that said, the best exercise to burn fat is one that burns many calories in a short period of time.
Cardiovascular Training
Cardiovascular training is a great method to burn fat. For the most effective fat loss, it is recommended that you do around forty-five minutes of cardio training at a good and moderate pace. Doing this five or more times per week will do wonders for fat loss. The question is, which is the best exercise to burn fat in the cardio department?
We all know that running burns many calories. Because of this, I would have to say that running for weight loss is one of the best options. Other cardio that burns lots of calories include:

Resistance Training
The best type of resistance, strength training type of exercise for fat loss is one that does a full body workout. There are countless types of programs that do this. And the exercises used are so varied that it would be a mistake just to label a few best exercises.
In general, the best advice is to follow a resistance program that works on the major muscles of your body so that each week you are tearing up all the muscles and forcing your body to rebuild these tissues. Targeting the large and small muscles works best as well as resting muscles a couple days and working other muscles while the worn muscles recover.
Stomach Exercises
I figured I'd mention how ineffective stomach exercises like crunches and abs are for burning fat. They are definitely the worst option for fat loss. Sure, they help build and strengthen stomach muscles. But as far as fat loss, they do nothing. A thousand crunches will burn very few calories. And when it comes to fat loss, it's all about the burn!

It may be wet outside, but don't let that get you off track. So we thought we could help you get a head-start with losing those extra kilos before the winter months quickly fade into the spring and summer months. Here are our top 10 tips that you can start incorporating into your day from today:
TIP 1:
Start minimising bread, pasta, rice and fruits. This will lower your carbohydrate intake, helping you lean-up. This is particularly important if you spend most of your day behind the desk (you just DON'T NEED all that energy when your not moving much during the day).
TIP 2:
Increase your protein (chicken, meat, eggs, fish, PROTEIN SHAKES, etc), good fats (nuts, avocado, olive oil, etc) and green veggie (broccoli, spinach, asparagus, green beans, etc) intake.
TIP 3:
Eat regular small meals throughout the day (every 3 hours) and make sure you have protein in each meal.
TIP 4:
BE PREPARED - Have a small bag of nuts and a protein bar in your bag for the desperate times. It will save you!
TIP 5:
Make fish-oil your best friend! Fish oil is another form of good fats which assists in stored-fat loss, balances blood sugar (helps with the sugar cravings throughout the day), elevates mood, helps lower cholesterol, stimulates growth hormone release and many more benefits. Just make sure you select a good quality fish oil!
TIP 6:
Have a good quality multi-vitamin. You will see a boost in energy, it can assist in minimising stress, and provides the body with nutrients which most of us may be missing from our diets. This will help your organs function better and therefore your body will perform better.
TIP 7:
Use L-Carnitine to stimulate the use of stored fat as your source of energy when training or during daily activities. On training days, take it 30-40 minutes before training, on non-training days, take it first thing in the morning before eating.
TIP 8:
Get rid of MILK from your diet... this includes SKIM (it is full of lactose which most people are intolerant. Lactose is also a form of sugar, therefore a carbohydrate!). You can still eat cheese, within moderation. What about soy milk? Soy can increase estrogen, meaning looking more bloated/soft rather than toned. And if you're worried about calcium, then do what cows do. Eat green veggies.
TIP 9:
Keep water intake up. If you urine is dark, it means you're dehydrated so drink more water! Check-it-out next time, it is the most accurate indicator. It should be almost clear if you are properly hydrated.
TIP 10:
DO SUPER-SET STYLE WEIGHT TRAINING to build muscle tissue and lean-up at the same time! It takes more energy to sustain muscle than fat, meaning you burn more fat in normal every day activity if you build muscle tissue... you don't need to look like Arnie, just do some form of resistance weight training! Super-setting your weight training significantly increases the heart rate, which is what we all attempt to do when we do cardio training. An example of how you can super-set is as follows e.g. For a chest and back workout, you can super-set by doing a set of chin-ups (for your back), followed immediately by a set of bench press (for your chest) with NO REST IN BETWEEN. Repeat this set another 2 times.
Incorporate any or all of these tips, and you will see results within a week. These are lifestyle changes, so make them part of your everyday routine to get the most success most success, for now and the future.

In fact, when certain low-carb diets swept across America and many other countries in the late 1990s and early 2000s, it was estimated that 1 in every 11 Americans was on such a diet and 18 percent of the population was on a low-carb diet in general.</p><p>Sales of carbohydrate-loaded foods such as pasta and rice fell dramatically and there was panic in the food industry, especially among some major brands. Alternatively, as is their wont, some food manufacturers cashed in on the 'low-carb craze', as it was called, and began to market products that were low in carbohydrates (soft drink manufacturing companies released new aerated drinks which supposedly contained half the amount of carbohydrates, sugars and calories as compared to the standard ones!).</p><p>But like with all fads, the popularity of such diets waned though controversies on the effects of drastic diets like these, and took a while longer to subside.</p><p><strong>Exercise: </strong>For those who want to crank it up a little and dieting is not enough, the so-called experts have another formula - exercise furiously and follow a crash diet. Somewhere down the line, a miracle is supposed to take place. That is, if you have the stomach, determination and energy levels to exhaust and deplete your body, all at the same time!</p><p><strong>Supplements:</strong> And there's something for the diet-hungry weight-watcher too - nutritional supplements, vitamin pills and energy drinks! Is it purely coincidental that there should be a readymade solution to almost every weight-watcher's woes?</p><p><strong>Diet Pills: </strong>Also, can it really be all that simple? Take the darling of the weight loss industry - diet pills. Straight from the African desert comes a diet pill that acts as an appetite suppressant!</p><p>Imagine the excitement this generated in the pharma industry. Finally, modern science had discovered an ancient remedy, a magic pill, to treat obesity! It was an extract of a 'cactiform' plant of the Apocynaceae plant family. Called Hoodia, it contains a chemical compound or glycoside which goes by the innocuous-sounding term 'P57'.</p><p>The South African Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which first isolated P57, patented it in 1996. The Council then granted a UK-based company a license to synthesize P57 for commercial use but it was later discovered that the drug thus produced led to serious side-effects and damaged the liver. The drug has not been approved by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) but it is prescribed and sold illegally, especially online.

<br><strong>Metabolic Enhancers: </strong>Metabolic enhancers are another favorite prescription for near-instant weight loss, or so it would seem. According to those who advocate these drugs, metabolic enhancers apparently speed up the body's metabolism and therefore have a strong thermogenic effect. This means there is a sudden increase in body heat, which is supposed to cause lipolysis or the breaking down of fat.

<br><strong>Hypnosis: </strong>Another really imaginative quick-fix method to losing weight is, believe it or not, hypnosis! Advocates of this method - who charge exorbitant fees, no doubt - lead one to believe under hypnosis that certain foods are harmful while others are good for you. If only it were really that simple!

<br><strong>Smart Foods: </strong>Rivaling hypnosis as a weight-reduction technique is another creative promise to a slimmer way of life - healthy fast foods! Repackaging them as 'smart-foods', advocates of these 'meals for the calorie-conscious' would actually have you believe that fast food chains serve meals that could curb the number of calories you ingest while stopping by at their outlets.</p><p>Claiming that the cattle slaughtered to make burgers has been raised on a fat-free ranch, meals that use these meats can keep your calorific intake in check. No guesses as to who is sponsoring and spreading these incredible notions.</p><p><strong>Body Mass Index: </strong>Another popular misconception of the weight-watching world is that one size fits all. To devise a standard of reference for weight-watchers and overweight individuals, experts came up with the concept of Body Mass Index or BMI. This is a benchmark used by the Department of Health, weight-loss programs, dieticians and nutritional experts to determine who is overweight and who is not.

<br><strong>Body Type: Mass Belief</strong></p><p>BMI is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared, rounded to one decimal place, or weight/height2 or kg/m2.</p><p>Adults aged over 20 with a BMI of 25.0-29.9 are classified as overweight and those with a BMI of 30 or more are said to be obese.</p><p>Another conventional method to understand body size is to classify it into three body types - ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph, based on body shape and musculature.</p><p>According to the classic definition, the  ectomorph is naturally lean and thin and not prone to putting on weight as these individuals have a high metabolic rate. They are overactive and not particularly strong.</p><p>The mesomorph is naturally athletic and muscular, naturally lean, loses fat easily and has an efficient and fast-burning metabolism.</p><p>The endomorph is podgy and has a rounded body shape. There is a tendency to gain weight and to store fat easily due to a sluggish metabolism.</p><p>Even though no dietician or weight loss plan will actually say this, most weight-reduction methods and crash diets are aimed at converting endomorphs into ectomorphs and mesomorphs.</p><p>Haven't you noticed the 'before' and 'after' images used on promotional material for these programs? Quite by magic, women go from being overweight to having the perfect hour-glass figure while men go from downright flabby to trim and muscular.</p><p>If only all women who desire to lose weight could be converted into ectomorphs and men into mesomorphs! And yes, most weight loss programs claim they can indeed perform this simply amazing miracle.
